The completely configurable Rise and Recline chair – Modular, adaptable and configurable

Completely configurable to your requirements, our Rise and Recline chair can be tailored to suit individual needs and tastes. Simple to prescribe yet effective in result, our modular chair is a real revolution in the Rise and Recline field.

Follow the 6 easy steps to configure the perfect chair:

1. Sizing

The 3 critical dimensions are; seat depth (measure back of knee to back of pelvis, seat height (measure back of knee to heel) and seat width (measure width at hips and add 2 inches to allow for sling application, extra clothing etc.) Arm height and back height can also be measured but are not so critical.

2. Motor action

Actions to suit every client; keep in mind support required and cognitive ability.

Single motor

Simple to use and gives large range of movement in a sequential action.

Single motor TIS

Gives excellent support and simple to operate.

Dual motor

Reclines to almost horizontal.
4 buttons plus reset.

Dual motor TIS

Same action as single motor TIS with adjustable back recline. 4 button handset.

3. Back style

The style of back is important for comfort and lateral support.

Button back

Traditional feel with firmer support. Deep fibre for lumbar support and comfort.

Waterfall back

3 fibre filled pillows give high level of comfort. Individually adjustable cushions for optimum support.

Split back

Cushion is split at shoulder level to contour with the human back. Firmer support; laterals can be added.

Soft lateral

Fibre filled laterals and back are soft but supportive and can be adjusted to suit the client.

Firm lateral

Foam filled laterals and lower back give firmer support for clients with low lateral control.

4. Arm type

Four popular arm styles for individual preference.

Scroll arm

Wide arm giving traditional feel.

Knuckle arm

Provides excellent grip for transfers.

Straight arm

Contemporary styling-ideal for compact spaces.

Drop arm

Gives a firm, level surface for side transfers.

5. Seat cushion

Standard

Soft foam for very comfortable sitting.

Visco

Layer of memory foam over standard foam core for pressure relief.

Gelacell

Unique grid design with totally new materials gives excellent pressure relief and allows air to flow through the seat for reduced moisture and increased healing.

Gel

Enclosed gel sack under soft foam disperses pressure over a wide seat area.

6. Fabric

Range of colours for four fabric types. Stretch fabrics recommended for pressure cushions.

Vinyl

Easy to clean and maintain. Highly durable.

Panvelle

Soft pile for traditional feel with waterproof properties. Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial.

Stretch vinyl
